There's a new YouTube video available on the Gauverband's channel. Rick Michels shows us how to make Honigherzen, a delicious cookie that is especially popular at Christmas time.  The link to the channel and the recipe are available if you go to gauverband.com/resources/workshops. Yes, we're a little past Christmas but honey heart cookies are good for Valentine's Day and anytime you want a treat!

The Gauverband Nordamerika is saddened to hear of the passing of Lloyd Wevang of BGTV D'Lustigen Holzhacker Buam, of Chicago, Illinois on December 19, 2025.

Hello Friends!  

The Christmas greetings issue from our Vereine throughout the Gauverband is now online for you to view and/or download. It's the biggest Christmas card yet -- 30 pages with contributions from 66 Vereine and individuals!  The card will be printed and mailed with the December Gauzeitung news issue in the next few weeks. In the meantime, enjoy looking through the issue at THIS LINK.  

All subscribers to the Gauzeitung will very soon be getting two issues in the mail. The “Summer” issue and the August issue.

This “Summer” issue was slated to be the May issue. Obviously, that didn’t happen. Instead you are getting the Summer issue as well as the August issue in early November, mailed together (36 pages in all!). My apologies for them being so late. But life happens and something had to fall off the table. I hope that you will enjoy getting these two issues with the many great events that happened throughout our Gauverband.
