“God Bless Bavaria: Trachtler in Amerika” is the title of a 7-page article in the Summer 2016 issue of the Bavarian journal MUH. Remember the Bayerischer Rundfunk radio article about our Gaufest last year done by Barbara Leidl? That was the start of the MUH article, with Editor Josef Winkler augmenting the text with information gleaned from the Gaufest issue of the Gauzeitung.

The minutes to the 2016 Delegates Meeting held in May in St. Paul, Minnesota, are now available at this link:  2016 Delegates Meeting Minutes.  An email was sent to the Verein addresses of record notifying the Vereine that the minutes have been published and are available on the website. The minutes can be downloaded, read on-line, or printed.

Hi Everyone, here are some last minute things to remember as you prepare for Lechgau-Trachtenfest in Steingaden in a few weeks.

HTV Almfrieden of Steingaden is the host of the 93. Lechgau-Trachtenfest this year. The latest issue of the Heimat- und Trachtenbote had an article in it about the Verein and the city of Steingaden. The article is linked at the end of this post. Almfrieden was started in 1909, and they are hosting their 9th Lechgaufest. Their Vereinsfahne was blessed that same year and has been through two restorations.
