Gauverband Announcement

The minutes of the Gau-Ausschussversammlung held in March 2017 are now available online.  Here's the link to go there directly:  2017 Ausschuss Minutes.  You can read the minutes online, download the file to your own computer, or print it (all 83 pages!).  Or go to About Us/Reports -- there you will find minutes to Delegates Meetings and Ausschuss Meetings from 2008-2017. 

As you've already heard, Gau-NA will be assisted by D'Wageggler Börwang to host the 2018 Bayerischer Löwe on June 2, 2018, in Haldenwang in the Allgäu. Just ahead of the competition day is a Fronleichnam celebration on May 31 and the Allgäuer Gaufest will take place on June 3.  It'll be a full and exciting weekend.  For the Löwe day, we'll need 27 people to help with registration, organize dance circles, run scoresheets, judge, and tabulate the scores.  The link below takes you to the first of many updates about the events.

Please read the letter below issued by our Gaufest host Verein, SGTV Edelweiss Buffalo, about Ehrentänze. Note that Ehrentanz forms are due by May 1.

Gaujugendvertreterin Diane Meck has put together a terrific opportunity for the Gauverband's youth who will be in 7th-12th grade in the 2017-18 school year.

Remember the Family Tree project from last summer? The purpose was to build a “Family Tree” that would show how the Vereine within the Gauverband fit together – who is Patenverein or Patenkind. It’s turned out to be quite an eye opener of relationships! We received many answers to our online survey and also looked through the Gau-Chronik and Gauzeitung articles. Artist Fritz Sheffler compiled those answers into three different visual displays. Many Gauverband Vereine don’t have a flag, so there is no Patenverein. However, these Vereine are still shown on the designs.

The Lechgau-Verband sent an invitation to 1.Vorstand Tom Vogt and Gau-NA to the 94. Lechgautrachtenfest in Reichling on July 14-16, 2017.  There's a Tanz-Abend with terrific bands, a Heimatabend with performances from all over the Lechgau, and the Festsonntag with parade.
