Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler of Anaheim, California, are beginning to investigate being the host for the 28. Gaufest in 2021! To that end, they’d like feedback from INDIVIDUAL Verein members as well as the Vereine themselves to gauge interest in three possible locations: Anaheim, San Diego, and Las Vegas. Open to any individual who typically attends a Gaufest, the survey is totally anonymous and asks only your personal site preference and what state/province you live in. You’re also able to leave a comment.

Although it is only April, it is time to seek volunteers for the Gaufest in Buffalo in July. I am hoping to see Jugend (little and bigger) participating in the various offerings that will be at the Gaufest. However, in order to make this all successful, I will need help. Here is what I am seeking:

Jugend Einzelplattln Competition:

• Judges (adults)
• Critiquers (adults)
• Helpers with paperwork (16 years old and older) (Community Service hours available)

As you've already heard, Gau-NA will be assisted by D'Wageggler Börwang to host the 2018 Bayerischer Löwe on June 2, 2018, in Haldenwang in the Allgäu. Just ahead of the competition day is a Fronleichnam celebration on May 31 and the Allgäuer Gaufest will take place on June 3.  It'll be a full and exciting weekend.  For the Löwe day, we'll need 27 people to help with registration, organize dance circles, run scoresheets, judge, and tabulate the scores.  The link below takes you to the first of many updates about the events.
