The Gauverband Education Committee is happy to debut our second video in the GauNordamerika Eats series!

In this second installment, Gaumusikwart Rick Michels shows us how to make Laugenbrezeln, or traditional Bavarian pretzels.

THIS LINK takes you to a list of the participants that will be representing Gauverband Nordamerika at the upcoming Preisplatteln um den Bayerischen Löwen in Gauting this May.  A Program of the Isargau Gaufest being held in conjunction with the Preisplatteln is also attached for your reference.

The Meetings Committee reviewed the four documents that outline the requirements for hosting a Gaufest, Delegates Meeting, Executive Board Meeting, and Judges' Training Weekend. The links to the documents can be found at THIS LINK or under Publications/How-To Manuals from the main menu.

The Bylaws & Operating Rules & Guidelines have been updated to include all changes approved at the 2022 Delegates Meeting. They are available to read online, print, or download at THIS LINK or find them and the Preisplatteln Rules at "About Us/Bylaws" on this website. A Summary of Changes is also available at the link.

Happy New Year, Allgäu-style!  The Allgäuer Gauverband has a fairly new tradition of ringing in the new year with cow bells, rather than shooting off fireworks.  It was a fun project started by their 1.Gauvorplattler Christoph Zweng.  They call it Allgäu Schealat. This year a few of our Gau-NA Vereine joined in (see this video link).  We hope that next year we'll have even more participation. Thanks to all that contributed.

We know that many Vereine are already beginning to prepare for the Preisplatteln at the 2023 Gaufest at the Kalahari and want to see the latest Preisplatteln Rules. The Preisplatteln Rules have been updated to include all the rule changes approved at the 2022 Delegates Meeting. The rules can be seen at THIS LINK or you can access them from the website home page under About Us/Bylaws. You can download them, view them online, or print them (26 pages). Questions can be directed to the Bylaws Committee (Karin Schwab, Paul Ulrich, or Karin Dean Kraft) or to any of the dance officers. 

Note that the Bylaws, Operating Rules, and Guidelines are still being worked on but will be available online within the next two weeks.
