Gauverband Announcement

Please submit articles and photos for the upcoming issue of the Gauzeitung.  The deadline is June 1.  Since March, there have been quite a few events. The Mittelwest Bezirksfest in St. Louis; The West Coast Bezirksfest in Leavenworth; St. Catharines' Trachtenfest; Mit Atlantic Jugend Einzelplatteln; Chiemgau Windsor's trip to the Chiemgau; Almrausch Philadelphia's Munich Oktoberfest trip; Delegates Meeting, and many more.  Let's pack this issue full of interesting news!  Send your news to Gauzeitung@yahoo.com.

We are thrilled to announce that Festring Munich has invited Gauverband Nordamerika to participate in the Trachten‑ und Schützenzug parade and perform at Festzelt Tradition in 2028 coinciding with GTEV Schlierachtaler Stamm NY and SVEV d’Oberlandler Milwaukee celebrating their 100th anniversaries.

The highlight of the weekend will be the Trachten‑ und Schützenzug parade on Sunday, September 17, 2028, followed by a planned performance at Festzelt Tradition on Monday, September 18.

This summary is meant to let you know about decisions made and subjects discussed at the 2026 Delegates Meeting held on May 1-3 in Buffalo, New York.  When the minutes are published in a few months, there will be much more detail.

Did you enter your latest Verein info into the Directory? ELECTIONS

Latest from our hosts:  For those arriving on Friday, May 1, there will be a welcome get-together at the Hofbräuhaus. Maifest will be held at Hofbrauhaus Buffalo on Friday, May 1st featuring Die Haus Band from 5:30p.m. - 8:30 p.m. They have reserved enough seating in the main hall area for all of our Delgates to enjoy the festivities.  You will be able to purchase food and drink from the servers throughout the event.   You will also be able to pick up your Welcome Packets starting at 6 p.m.
