Edelweiss Westchester in New York recently attended the 100th anniversary of D’Chiemgauer Grabenstätt in Bayern. The Bayerischer Trachtenverband’s website has a nice article with several pictures about the visit. The two clubs have maintained a friendship for the 80 years of Edelweiss’s existence, and sixty members of Edelweiss made the trip. Gau-Ehrenkassier William Hubner and wife Linda (both of Gemuetlichen Enzianer NY) were also there and represented Gau-NA.

submitted May 11, 2011 We are saddened to learn of the passing of Reinhold Rock, long time active member of S.T. Bavaria Cleveland. Reinhold was a strong supporter of Gauverband Nordamerika and director of the Bauernmesse choir at our Gaufeste.
