2026 Delegates Meeting -- Highlights Part 1

Just the highlights for now!  A post will be made with more detail plus a few pictures in a day or so.

ELECTIONS

There were three offices to fill due to retirements of officers. Rudy Leschke 1.Vorplattler; Karin Schwab 1.Vortänzerin; and Rich Keesecker Revisor chose not to run again. Matt LaCourse & Christine Ott were elected to 1.Vorplattler and 1.Vortänzerin from their positions as seconds, leaving open the 2.VP and 2.VT positions.  Tristan Allmendinger was elected to 2.Vorplattler and Grace Carson to 2.Vortänzerin.  Eric Meck was elected to fill the open office of Revisor. Congratulations and welcome to our newly elected officers! 

The delegates voted to accept three new Vereine into membership.  A big welcome to:

• GTSV Alpen Auerhahn, Denver, Colorado
• BHTV D'Potomactaler Stamm, Greater Washington, D.C. area
• The Fort Wayne Tänzer, Fort Wayne, Indiana

The 2028 Delegates Meeting will be hosted by Die Sacramento Turn Verein Alpentänzer Schuhplattler in Sacramento, California. Dates are May 5-7, 2028.

The 2029 Gaufest host is SVEV D'Oberlandler of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Tentative dates are July 5-8, 2029 (subject to change, so stay tuned!)
