Progress report on the Haus der bayerischen Trachtenkultur und Trachtengeschichte: The Pfarrhof (main house) in Holzhausen has been completed! Thanks to many volunteer workers the Pfarrhof is now ready for use as the Headquarters of the Bayerischen Trachtenjugend as well as the Archiv des Bayerischen Trachtenverbandes. "Werkstatt-Ladl" in Hammerau opened on June 30, 2007 by Hans Auer and his wife Maria. Hans Auer is a well-known Volksmusikant and music teacher who has been involved with cultivating Volksmusik in the region of Berchtesgadener Land since 2004. He has also been Gauliederwart in Gauverband I. Available for purchase in this little shop are song books, music books and Volksmusik and Blasmusik CDs as well as locally hand-made gift articles.
