Marquardt The Bayerischen Trachtenverband in cooperation with Bavarian Broadcasting (Bayerischen Rundfunk) has created a double CD with all proceeds going to benefit Das Haus der Bayerischen Trachtenkultur und Trachtengeschichte in Holzhausen. The music was recorded in the Mayr-Wirt Gasthaus in Erding. The CD debuted at a Fest in the Trachtenheim in Irschenberg, the evening was broadcast on Bavarian televsion. The music was provided by 134 participants from 24 music and singing groups from 21 Gauverbände. Gertrud Lindler, Vorsitzende des Sachgebietes Volksmusik und Volkslied presented one of the first copies to Bavarian Ministerpräsident Günter Beckstein. The CD includes a 12 page booklet with photos and contact information of the participating musicians. The CD is now available from Michael Olk, Gauarchivar. Contact Michael Olk. Cost $30.
