TraDi -- a New Monthly e-Magazine from Trachtenverband Bayern

The Bayerischer Trachtenverband has introduced a new monthly e-magazine premiering today! It is called TraDi--Tracht und Tradition Digital. The focus of the magazine is to provide in-depth articles about traditions that take place in Bayern. On the first of every month, the new issue of the magazine will be announced on the Trachtenverband's website and its other social media platforms. The first issue has 8 articles in it that take up 28 pages. Different knowledgeable authors write the interesting articles, there are plenty of beautiful photos, and the layout is terrific. There is no charge for the magazine and it is available to all.

TraDi does not replace the twice-a-month Heimat- und Trachtenbote that remains the official publication of the Trachtenverband. That publication will continue to report on events with the Vereine and the Gauverbände and is available in paper form only by subscription.

Thank you to Trachtenverband Pressewartin Anna Felbermeir and e-magazine editor Adelheid Bonnetsmüller as well as all those who have volunteered to submit articles, recipes, crafts, and more for their hard work on bringing this terrific resource to fruition. We can all look forward to learning new things.

The November issue has articles in it about: Pumpkin season; grave/memorial customs in November; a pastry recipe; the Leonhardiwallfahrt custom; Kathrein--the end of the dance season til after Lent; all about the Landesversammlung in Oberaudorf; honors for Konrad Vogel & Annemarie Bertl; Holzhausen Trachenkulturzentrum--well worth the visit.  Where to find TraDi:
